Portland Youth Corps Crew Leader Meghan Loury

We are very pleased to introduce Meghan Loury, our new Portland Youth Corps Crew Leader who comes to us through the Maine Conservation Corps. Meghan just arrived in Maine a few weeks ago from her home state of Colorado where she has lived, worked, and adventured her whole life. Growing up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Meghan has always found home in the outdoors. She holds a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado, which led to teaching environmental education, joining and leading a  conservation corps, and working for the National Park Service as a trail maintenance worker. She is extremely excited to use those experiences to build the Portland Youth Corps and give teenagers the opportunities to learn about conservation, to make meaningful connections with each other and nature, and to swing tools!
