Urban Forest Equity

The Portland Parks Conservancy is partnering with the City of Portland to produce an Urban Forestry Management Plan to help the City manage its tree canopy and plan for its future. The Conservancy has just begun to raise the funds we'll need to hire an experienced consultant who will conduct the necessary research and fully engage the community. We expect the Plan to offer recommendations and action items regarding tree equity, sustainability strategies, budgeting, and long-range planning and meet the City’s goals to educate the public on the benefits of trees to their own health, to the social fabric of their neighborhoods, and to the climate goals of their community.
